In 1824, the first mosque in Changchun was built on Dongsandaojie in Changchun with donation from local Muslims. It was moved to the current location in 1862. After renovation twice in history, Changchun Changtong Road Mosque once covered 13,000 square meters. Currently main buildings inside Changchun Changtong Road Mosque include prayer hall; minaret; imam’s room; lecture rooms and Wudu facilities. The prayer hall of Changchun Changtong Mosque is typical of traditional Chinese architecture of wood and brick structure with Arabian interior decorations.
Jilin Provincial Islamic Association and Changchun City Islamic Association are located inside Changchun Changtong Road Mosque.
