- Nanning Mosque was built during Qing Dynasty Emperor Shunzhi’s period from 1644 to 1661 and underwent several renovations later. In 1717, Nanning Mosque was moved to the current place of Xinhua Street.Nanning mosque was closed for prayers and destroyed during the Cultural Revolution (1966-1976). It was rebuilt again in 1981. The current mosque has three stories in Arabic style with a construction area of 1300 square meters. There is a meeting room on the first floor; the second floor has office rooms and Imam’s room; the third floor is the prayer hall which can accommodate 200 people to pray simultaneously.
