Wa Alaykum Salaam,

We reached home safe and sound last Wednesday. Our trip was very enjoyable and great experience for all of us. All the arrangement worked well and the people you gave us on the ground were fantastic. It started with Tina in Beijing and continued with all the guides throughout our trip. Johan you did an excellent job. We always knew if ever we ran in to a problem you were only a phone call away. All four of us would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Our trip was excellent and we haven’t stopped talking about it. We wouldn’t even have known if you didn’t tell us this was the longest trip you had ever arranged.

Mumtaz my wife is just completing the blog and will post it on the internet soon. I shall send you link so that you can have a look at it.

Give me a week or so and I will send you some recommendations on what can be done to make things even better for future groups. Please bear in mind these will only be recommendations and not complains as we have no complains.

With Salaams and prayers from Canada.

Please pass on our regards to Tina. She was just wonderful.

Assalamualaikum Johan,

Alhamdullilah, everything is well and good now.

And as our Beijing trip, it was superb. The tour guide - Jessica and the driver was very helpful and nice. i will miss them. To my suprise we even got a private car for our tour and transportation.

As for the tour, it is exactly as per the itinererary and we enjoyed every single place that we visited. We are very happy with the tours, no hassle at all. And we loved the Tienanmen Sq, The Forbidden City and the best of all is the The Great Wall.

The driver & Jessica is always punctual and knowlegable too!

As for the hotel, it was okay and comfortable the only set back is the reception who does not speak English at all, and I'm glad that Jessica is around to assist us. As for the buffet breakfast, not so much choice offered.

All the meals is okay but almost everyday we are served with eggs, minced chicken & vegetables. Maybe ICT can offer a more variety of menu from the Muslim Chinese menu such as - Fried Noodles, Fried Rice, Steam seafood to name just a few..

But my overall opinion is ICT is true indeed our Light in Beijing. We would strongly reccomend ICT to our family & friends.

We will assure you that this won't be my last trip to China.

We will definitely COME AGAIN and book our tour with Islamichina!!!

Thank you Johan for your full cooperation for making my holiday a memorable one!!

Regards,
Naz Aima Nadzam

Assalamualaikum Johan

Please find feedback as follows:

IslamiChina Travel website www.islamiChina.com; - Good

Communication with ICT representative; Very good. You were helpful and professional and convinced us why we should book with IslamiChina instead of any other tour operator.

Guides:
Our guide in Beijing was ok. She struggled with English a bit and we could not understand what she was saying some of the time.

Our guide in Xian was very good. She was very knowledgeable about her country and was keen to share her knowledge with us.

Our guide in Shanghai was ok. She asked us a lot of personal questions and I did not like the fact that she asked for her tip and the driver’s tip the day before we left. However the following day, when our flight got delayed and we had to organise new flights, she was very helpful in communicating with airport staff.

Hotels;
Beijing - Ningxia Hotel had no wi-fi which was a problem for us. The bed and pillows were too hard and the shower drain was blocked. I asked my guide every day to explain to the staff who didn’t understand English that they should fix the drain, which she did. Every day they told us that it had been done but it wasn’t. The good part about the hotel was that the food was halaal.

Xian. Grand Metropark Hotel was very good. The only downside was that the we could only eat fruit at breakfast as we did not know if the vegetarian items and pastries were made with meat fat/lard.

Shanghai. Ramada Hotel – our room was a bit small but other than that the hotel was good. The only downside was that the we could only eat fruit at breakfast as we did not know if the vegetarian items and pastries were made with meat fat/lard.

Meals; The good part was that we were taken to Muslim restaurants. But in Beijing, our guide would order meals for us without consulting us. We therefore had to eat food we didn’t enjoy such as omelettes at every meal. Our guides in Xian and Shanghai were more accommodating and consulted us before ordering therefore we enjoyed the food much more.  In hindsight though, we would not take a food package and rather request that we be taken to Muslim restaurants at meal times where we could order and pay for our own food.

Sightseeing: The sightseeing was excellent and we especially enjoyed going to the masjids/mosques.

Shopping: We do not enjoy shopping stops in general.

Driver service: The drivers in Xian and Shanghai were very attentive. They would open the doors for me at every stop and accommodate our requests. The driver in Beijing was satisfactory. He did not open doors for us and sometimes parked a bit far from our stops so that we had to walk quite a bit.

Recommendations: it would be good if we could have gone to mosques for the 2 afternoon prayers and the 1st evening prayer.

Overall, we enjoyed our trip to China and would recommend IslamiChina tours with a few minor adjustments.

Thank you!

Sara

This email is inform you that my family had good stay in Beijing from 5-9Apr. Ms. Carol, the guide and Ahyong, the driver, took care of us very well and every one had good time. Even the hotel you recommended was a nice place to stay and in good location. Unfortunately I was not able to meet with you in person. Hopefully we can meet at some other time. The sight seeing and shopping trip were good and so was the lunches and dinners.Thank you to you and your wonderful team.
